CFD - Computational Fluid Dynamics - CFD
In continuum mechanics, fluid mechanics to form one large branch. Fluid mechanics begins with the same principles of solid mechanics , but what distinguishes them from one another, this is a fluid unlike solids are not able to withstand shear stress. Knowing this, it is planned equations for fluid motion analysis. this equations to respect both the British and the French mathematician called Navier-Stokes equations. CFD - Computational Fluid Dynamics - in fact is solve the Navier-Stokes equation for the small size of the original model. In this way the total desired volume is divided into very small volumes in operation meshing and after applying the boundary conditions, the equation is solved for all elements.
Computational Fluid Dynamics- CFD-  in terms of the overall trend is similar with static and dynamic FEM analysis . both methods are used to solve a much smaller element than the original model.
Today , with increasing computer processing speeds,CFD and FEM analyzes have found a special place in the design and failure analysis. Important things that can be calculated in Computational Fluid Dynamics :
  • Plot speed, temperature and fluid pressure in any point of the model
  • Plots and counter the speed, temperature and fluid pressure in the interior and exterior surfaces
  • Diagram of the fluid flow path
  • heat transfer charts and plots in the outer surfaces and boundary
  • Calculation of speed, temperature and pressure at different levels and volumes
  • Diagram of the flow path

Analysis and simulation of heat transfer and fluid that can be done with software such as: Fluent, Ansys and Flow works used in different parts of the industry, some of these include:

Static and dynamic analysis and simulation - finite element method - FEM - FEA
Finite Element Method is a numerical method to approximate solutions of partial differential equations and solving integral equations. The practical application of finite element commonly referred to as finite element analysis (FEA). Under this method the complete elimination of differential equations or simplify them ordinary differential equations which are solved by numerical methods such as Euler. in fact,in the finite element method the object or collection divided into very small elements and solved the equations for each component. It should be noted, that the accuracy of finite element analysis strongly depends on the quality of modeling, taking into account boundary conditions and allocation of the correct material and proper meshing of the model.  Simulation and analysis of finite element is used for static and dynamic loading of mechanical equipment and structures.
